Switching from Edupac to MyEncore

A practical, step-by-step migration guide: what exports from Edupac, what we import, the 1–2 week timeline, and the one-term parallel run — free of charge.

Moving a school's data between management systems sounds scarier than it is. Edupac's DBE/SA-SAMS export workflow means your core data exports cleanly — and importing it is work we do for you, at no cost. Here's exactly how it goes.

You keep your archive. Your Edupac exports remain yours — keep them as a permanent record. Migration never deletes anything on the Edupac side.

The five steps

1. Export your data from Edupac

Use Edupac's standard export workflow — the same one that feeds DBE/SA-SAMS compliance. If your admin team already does DBE submissions, they already know this step.

2. We import

Send us the exports. We import learner records, parent contacts, fee history, and class structure into your new MyEncore school.

3. We verify together

Record counts are checked against your exports, and your admin team spot-checks real learners, parents, and balances before anything goes live.

4. Staff setup and parent rollout

Teachers and admin staff get accounts and a walkthrough. Parents receive app invites — the parent app is the heart of MyEncore, so this step is where the switch becomes visible to your community.

5. Parallel-run for one term

Daily work moves to MyEncore while Edupac stays available in the background for one term. If any gap is found, nothing is lost. After the term, you switch Edupac off.

What it costs

The migration: nothing. It's included when your school signs up.

MyEncore afterwards: R50 per learner per year (R4.17/month) for under-1000-learner schools, all modules included — tapering from R27/learner/year in Year 1 for 1000+ learner schools. Published pricing, no sales call needed: see pricing.
